GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an oval • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Above it, draw another line equal to half the height of the head. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 3 more lines equal to the height of the head. • On the left and right sides of the head, draw a vertical line. Draw from them to the sides: -on the left, 1 line equal to the width of the head plus one line half as much; -on the right, 1 line equal to the width of the head plus 1 line equal to 1/4 of the widths.

STEP 1. Draw a line for the neck. And from it sketch a figure for the torso.

STEP 2. Separate the face with lines. Draw auxiliary circles for the shoulders and draw two lines from them.

STEP 3. Mark out the eyes and mouth. Draw the sulhouette of the body. Erase excess lines.

STEP 4. Finish with the shape of the face. Draw the nose. Outline the sleeves and collar.

STEP 5. Draw the eyes. Shape the hair. On the body, add lines for the jacket.

STEP 6. Detail eyes and ear. Draw the beard and collar.

STEP 7. Add hairs to the head. Draw a place for the mouth in the beard. Add eyebrows. On the jacket, draw buttons and creases.
